1986 Gmc Sierra Classic K1500
In 1986 the GMC SIERRA CLASSIC was the top trim level of the General Motors square body trucks. The Sierra was the entry level, the High Sierra was the mid level, and Sierra Classic was the top-of-the-line luxury package option. This truck with its short bed configuration is one of the most desirable trucks among collectors. I've owned this truck for over 20 years, where it was kept under cover and rarely driven. It has no dents and I believe the metal is all original. It's the perfect truck to take to the next level. With little money and some basic mechanic skills this truck is in the 30k+ range. It's great the way it is and gets compliments every where it goes. It's basically stock besides a body lift and a much needed motor swap from the 305 to a 350. I replaced the door panels but the original ones are included with the sale. The front grill is from a chevy and sports the bow tie emblem. I never dressed up the motor but it was professionally built and worth more than the truck at time of install. Edelbrock 600 carburetor, Edelbrock High-rise, high end headers, 2 1/2" dual exhaust, 2 new flow master mufflers give it a deep tasteful sound that gets people looking for it. The 4 1/2" body lift let's it ride on 37"x12.5"x15" Super Swamper TSL 10ply Radials. The tires have less than 1000 miles on them and are mounted on polished aluminum wheels. It has locking hubs and a 700r4 transmission with overdrive. I replaced the gas tank and fuel pump a couple years ago. I recently replaced the alternator and starter and installed a water temperature guage. It has factory AC that did not get hooked back up during motor swap but easily could be. It has the common rust spots on the bottom of the cab behind the doors but not bad and not noticeable. The front windshield needs replaced from a passengers head-shot not wearing there seat belt. I decided to not replace it and let the next owner do any desired body work and paint first. This truck is 40 years old and I've owned it for 20. This isn't a pig with lipstick built from a bunch of trucks, a carpet kit, dash pad and a paint job. It's an original top of the line trim model with the sought after short bed that's only getting more valuable and harder to find. The reason I'm sadly selling it is due to having 16 year old triplets wanting cars. I'm starting at 16500 based on recent sales but I'll take the best offer.
